The Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) is an industry classification standard used by the global financial community.

The Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) is an industry classification developed by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), and Standard & Poor's (S&P) for use by the global financial community. GICS uses 4 level classification: Sector, Industry Group, Industry and Sub-Industry.
